From Cloud Native to AI Native:
The CIO’s Journey to the New Digital Transformation
As AI applications evolve from basic, single-task tools into even more autonomous, reasoning-capable systems, our expectations of AI as a competitive differentiator have grown. An organization's agility in transitioning from cloud-native to AI-native will determine how quickly it realizes AI's potential to boost operational efficiency and revenue. Enterprises that successfully invested in digital transformation, built on cloud-native operating models and technologies, are now best positioned to leverage AI for increased revenue and expanded market leadership.
With this in mind, Broadcom's Tanzu Division commissioned a survey of over 250 IT leaders. The survey explored CIOs' perspectives and expectations of AI, their implementation plans, and the impact of digital transformation investments on companies' ability to meaningfully embrace AI and stand out from competitors.
Our findings indicate increased spending on AI and the adoption of a unified platform experience. We also discovered that some IT leaders are reallocating budgets from public cloud spending to AI and automation, and are increasing investments in private AI infrastructure.
