VMware Cloud Foundation Webinars
UK&I VMware Cloud Foundation Enablement Series
The UK&I VCF Specialist Solution Architect team would like to invite you to a webinar series focused on various software components of the VCF platform. Being a series, you are encouraged to attend each of the sessions to provide you with a deeper technical understanding of what VCF has to offer and how all the component parts work together to provide a robust and highly scalable private cloud platform.
On-Demand Webinars
You cannot protect what you cannot see – and today’s attackers exploit exactly that by hiding in east–west traffic, using your own data centre as their preferred terrain. This session explores how VMware vDefend Firewall and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) transform the flat, implicit-trust interior of the data centre into a hardened ransomware kill zone, denying lateral movement before damage is done.
We examine real-world enterprise tactics for disrupting the ransomware kill chain – from micro-segmentation and deep packet inspection to detecting and stopping malicious east–west activity before it reaches critical workloads.
Join this session to learn how visibility-driven segmentation and SSP-based policy turn your private cloud into hostile territory for attackers – while reducing blast radius, improving containment speed, and protecting business-critical applications.
ON-DEMAND: Application Delivery for Private Clouds with AVI
This session provides a high-level overview of VMware Avi Load Balancer and demonstrates Avi's modern, software-defined application services fabric.
We will look at Avi's control and data plane separation that makes it flexible and centrally managed. We will also look at its advanced analytics capabilities that give you real-time visibility, performance insights, and actionable intelligence. The session will also highlight Avi’s multi-cloud flexibility, enabling consistent application delivery across private and public cloud environments. Finally, we will talk about Avi's direct connection with VMware NSX® Manager and VMware Cloud Foundation. This shows how Avi fits with VMware's software-defined data center strategy to make operations simpler, automate more, and speed up digital transformation.
ON-DEMAND: VCF Networking Multisite using Federation
NSX Federation is a technology that allows for the management of multiple NSX Data Center instances across different locations. It enables stretched L2 networks and consistent security policies across these federated environments to dynamically aid disaster avoidance and recovery. Join this session to learn more about NSX Federation and demonstrations of the capabilities.
ON-DEMAND: Kubernetes on VCF: Accelerate App Delivery with VKS & VM Service
In this session, see how Kubernetes integrates with VCF—starting with the vSphere Supervisor to unify Kubernetes and VM workloads—then dive into VKS, VM Service, and Supervisor add-ons, and how this model fits and scales across the wider VCF ecosystem.
ON-DEMAND: Getting The Most Out of Aria Operations With The Least Amount of Effort
Managing the Private Cloud environment with VCF Operations provides the Cloud Admin with so many new capabilities sometimes it is sometimes hard to find the time to decide what to do first! In this session, we will quickly introduce VCF Operations before concentrating on the top 5 things that a Cloud Administrator should be using to get maximum value out VCF Operations.
ON-DEMAND: Storage flexibility with vSAN Storage Clusters in VCF 9
A look at disaggregated storage with vSAN Storage Clusters in this quick webinar, see firsthand how to build resilient, high-performance, and agile infrastructure without the traditional storage complexity.
ON-DEMAND: VCF Networking Multi-Tenancy with VPCs
VPC (virtual private cloud) has been available in public cloud, providing isolated virtual networks for both users and customers since day one. VCF Networking now provides VPCs for private cloud environments. Join this session to learn more about multi-tenancy and VPCs along with a demonstration of the capabilities.
ON-DEMAND: The Role of vSAN Encryption to Secure your Data Effectively
Data encryption is a common technique used in environments that require additional levels of security. It consists of a process to ensure that data can only be consumed by systems that have appropriate levels of access. Find out how vSAN can secure your data.
ON-DEMAND: Bring Order to Capacity Chaos with VCF Operations
Are you still using spreadsheets to plan capacity in your Virtual infrastructure? When delivering a modern and robust private cloud, one of the key requirements is to always ensure that there is sufficient capacity for running the apps that grow the business. Unlike Public Cloud, resources are not endless and this is why the ability to manage, monitor, forecast capacity is critical to the success of Private Cloud. In this session, learn how VCF Operations can support not only driving a capacity-efficient private cloud, but also forecast capacity growth and, ultimately, get rid of those spreadsheets!
ON-DEMAND: Using vSAN Snapshots to expand your protection capabilities
Data protection strategies often include snapshots in some form or another. Learn how vSAN ESA snapshots can play an integral part of a data protection strategy, as well as augment formal data protection practices to make recovery operations more convenient. Join this session to learn more about vSAN Snapshots.
ON-DEMAND: Using HCX to migrate workloads into VCF
HCX simplifies workload migration, workload rebalancing, and across data centers and clouds. HCX enables high-performance, large-scale workload mobility across VMware vSphere and non-vSphere workloads. Join this session to learn how to utilise HCX, and to see a demo of a zero downtime migration.
